First Presentation Title: Practical CALL solutions for the non-wired Classroom by Mike Stockwell
Students are frequently asked to generate content that often vanishes after the course is finished or their flash memory was accidently laundered. From a motivational point of view, students could be enticed to invest more time on their selected projects if they understood that there would be permanence beyond the duration of the course or the physical confines of the classroom. This presentation will take a pragmatic look at how a university program was able to use online web building software to incorporate CALL into their third year projects class with minimal difficulties. The objective was to capture, maintain and then distribute student generated projects to our first and second year students and to develop a system that will be sustainable for future years.
